Sweden, Orebro: Sept. 11-Oct. 17, 2010: SubGlob II
SubGlob II - Peace and Democracy
The ultimate goal of Street art movement is a common language for all people.
SubGlob II would focus on the trend in the art world we can clearly see and have seen over a longer time, namely that more and more artists working outside the established intitutions, whether they are galleries, schools, art galleries or other accommodation in the art. It is a simple difference. Indoors or outdoors? The trend will greatly increase over the coming decades, for the simple reason that there is an outdoor audience. Outdoors, the conversation involves everyone.
SubGlob II presents six artists working in two different fields of public expression today. The one based on painting as a language and the other based on the idea. It is unlikely that these two meet, despite their shared history and claim the folksiness. The artists will present their work, both in Örebro Konsthall, partly out of Orebro city. The focus of the exhibition lies entirely on the invited creative artists. The artists have worked together on the exhibition site in Örebro weeks before opening.
