Call for artists: The Last Supper (Exhibit in Portland OR, Dec. 6-22, 2012)

Graeter Art Gallery
presents
a call to artists

The Last Supper
Have Your Cake and Eat It Too

*An Artists' Pre-Apocalyptic Confessional*

Here's your chance to make that piece of artwork you've always wanted, but feared to, for dread of worldly persecution, imposed judgment or exile and an inevitable forlorn state of existential loathing from a self-imposed ego-implosion. Now is your time to break your own creative rules, mock your drafted creative constitution, to balk and rebel at your claimed artistic license, and snap the chains of a little artistic neurosis you've been suffering under for too long.

WHO.WHAT.WHEN.WHERE.HOW.

This is a juried art exhibition and is open to all artists. We will consider all mediums: oil, acrylic, watercolor, video, film, mixed media, photography, sculpture, installation, ephemera, performance, illustration, and beyond! Get crazy. The finished piece should fall within the price range of $1 - $500.

HOW TO ENTER:

Send a detailed description of your proposed piece via email to: ashley@graeterartgallery.com To be considered you must include the following information:

1. Detailed description of your proposed piece including medium and approximate size.

2. Your name and email address.

SELECTION OF ARTWORK:

Selection of the entries will be made based on the submitted descriptions. Judging will be completed by early November and artists will be contacted via email. If selected, artists are responsible for delivering artwork to the gallery no later than Saturday December 1, 2012. Finished pieces must arrive ready for display. Each finished work must be accompanied by typed information that includes your name, email address, artwork title, artwork medium, dimensions, and price.

The Last Supper: Have Your Cake and Eat It Too

will be on display from

Thursday, December 6 - Saturday, December 22.
