CONCRETE PLAYGROUND is a series of events about street art and street wear, taking place in the course of RUHR.2010, European Capital of Culture.
CONCRETE PLAYGROUND addresses young people interested in culture.
Beginning in May and ending in September 2010, the event takes place in Essen (May-October), Bochum (July), and Dortmund (July).
Opening event will take place on 7 May at 6 pm at Zeche Zollverein in Essen. A visually stunning show with well known representatives of the street art scene as well as with fledgling artists will introduce the CONCRETE PLAYGROUND series. In a pop-up gallery, artists like MARTHA COOPER, NIELS "SHOE" MEULMAN, D*FACE, and SIGN / VIA GRAFIK, among others, will present their works.
